Job Description Role: Payroll Specialist
Duration: Contract | 6+ Months
Setting: Remote/Hybrid (Local Candidates Required)
Pay: $25-$27/hour DOE
Hours: Full-Time | 7 AM - 4 PM or 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Join a collaborative payroll team supporting domestic payroll operations for a large organization. This role is responsible for processing payroll, reconciling payroll data, preparing reports, and supporting year-end tax filings while ensuring accuracy and compliance. Key Responsibilities:

- Process payroll for salaried and hourly employees
- Reconcile earnings, deductions, garnishments, and payroll taxes
- Prepare monthly and quarterly payroll reports
- Support Workers' Compensation and other payroll-related reporting
- Assist with payroll inquiries, research, audits, and issue resolution
- Coordinate payroll changes with internal and external stakeholders
- Support year-end payroll processing and W-2 tax filings
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 4+ years of payroll, tax, and accounting experience
- Experience with payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred:
- SAP and/or ADP experience
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- 10-key proficiency
- Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
