Payroll Specialist

Position: Payroll Specialist Location: Phoenix, AZ Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 Key Responsibilities Process payroll for approximately 500 employees across multiple entities and states. Ensure accurate calculation and processing of earnings, deductions, garnishments, bonuses, commissions, and benefit deductions. Review payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to payroll submission. Manage payroll tax withholding and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Coordinate year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and audits. Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll inquiries. Act as the system administrator for Paylocity, including employee data management, workflows, security roles, reporting, and configuration. Maintain data integrity across payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and HR modules. Manage system updates, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation of new functionality. Support employee onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, and system integrations. Develop and maintain HRIS documentation, procedures, and training materials. Qualifications 3+ years of payroll administration experience supporting multi-state payroll. 2+ years of HRIS administration experience, preferably with Paylocity. Experience processing payroll across multiple entities and employee populations. Strong understanding of payroll taxes, wage and hour laws, garnishments, and compliance requirements.
