This full-time contract opportunity centers on developing and teaching within a newly-established SDC classroom designed to optimize learning experiences and offer students the tailored attention they deserve. With a capped caseload of 14 students and support from three dedicated teaching assistants, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact and shape the future of your students.
Qualifications:
- Active California mild/moderate Special Education Teacher credential required
- Must provide a screenshot of current CTC status with application
- Demonstrated expertise in Special Education practices for elementary-age children
- Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals and related service providers
- Organized, responsive, and committed to fostering inclusive educational communities
Responsibilities:
- Lead instruction and classroom management in a newly-formed SDC class
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with teaching assistants to maximize support
- Communicate regularly with families and related service staff
- Foster a nurturing and structured classroom atmosphere conducive to positive learning
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Uphold compliance with state, federal, and district guidelines
