Henry Ford Health is recruiting for a Director of the  Henry Ford Health Academy. This leader is responsible for designing, launching, implementing, and continuously improving the Henry Ford Health Academy's educational and workforce development programming as part of the Destination Success ecosystem.

The Director serves as the strategic leader responsible for creating an industry-aligned, learner-centered experience that prepares scholars for high-demand healthcare careers while advancing Henry Ford Health's long-term workforce strategy. Working closely with K-12 educators, higher education partners, clinical leaders, workforce development stakeholders, and community organizations, this role develops curriculum frameworks, work-based learning experiences, career exploration activities, and support systems that enable scholars to successfully transition from education to employment.

This position plays a critical role in building a sustainable talent pipeline for Henry Ford Health by aligning educational experiences with industry workforce needs and creating clear pathways into high-demand occupations including nursing, medical assisting, laboratory sciences, surgical technology, and other critical healthcare careers.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Needed:

• Master's degree required in Education, Workforce Development, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Organizational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or related field. Doctoral degree preferred.
• Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience leading education, workforce development, talent pipeline, youth development, or career pathway programs.
• Demonstrated experience designing curriculum and learning programs.
• Experience managing cross-sector partnerships.
• Experience developing workforce pathways, credentialing programs, or career
  connected learning initiatives.
• Experience utilizing data and outcomes measurement to drive program improvement.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working within healthcare, higher education, K-12 education, or
  workforce development systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare career pathways and credentialing requirements.
• Experience securing and managing grants or external funding.
• Experience building employer-led education-to-work pipelines.
• Familiarity with dual enrollment, early college, apprenticeship, and work-based learning models.
