She Wolf Bakery is seeking a Bakery Manager at our Brooklyn Navy Yard location. We work exclusively with local, organic grains, and specialize in naturally fermented doughs. We offer:

Key responsibilities:

• In tandem with the management team, develop production processes and schedules that allow us to maintain high-quality products at high volumes of production; altering these as business strategies and objectives evolve.
• Train and develop the bakery staff to shape, mix, and bake our line of products; teach them how to work effectively and adjust to the needs of our natural fermentation processes
• Manage ingredient ordering, receiving, storage, and inventory maintenance and organization
• Work as part of the management team to stay current, engaged and solutions-oriented on facilities maintenance, including mechanical systems, cleanliness, pest issues, equipment, organization and food safety compliance
• Work as part of the management team to:
• Develop and implement systems and processes that are effective, efficient, and compliant with all laws and internal policies
• Continuously recruit top talent to build an agile, diverse, and committed team, including identifying opportunities for cross-training and trailing candidates to evaluate their competency and skill level
• Resolve conflict and employee performance issues through mediation, coaching and counseling, and progressive discipline
• Participate in regularly scheduled meetings regarding the overall strategy and success of the business, including team meetings, quarterly financials, and HR trainings
• Work with business leadership to establish and achieve clear individual performance goals

Successful candidates will:

• Have a passion for naturally leavened bread and experience leading a team in a professional bakery with solid production skills and a passion for their craft.

While performing the duties of the job, a Bakery Manager is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Compensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $75,000.00)
