We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Supply Chain Planning Manager to oversee and optimize the supply planning function. This role requires strategic thinking to achieve material cost improvements and ensure the continuity of supply. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with commercial counterparts and key vendors to maintain a robust and efficient supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate weekly business level PSI reviews with commercial counterparts.
• Own and maintain the weekly/monthly supply plan for the business, reconciling it against demand and sales plans over a 12-month horizon.
• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve material cost improvements from the global supply base.
• Champion the resolution of supplier quality and delivery issues.
• Partner with key vendors to ensure the long-term supply of critical materials based on demand plans.
• Utilize company tools effectively and champion continuous improvement initiatives in quality, delivery, and cost.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand expectations, minimizing stock-outs while maximizing inventory turns.
• Develop tools to predict future risks, increase accuracy in supply planning, and provide insights for executive decision-making.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience with significant data analysis related to supply planning, including data visualization tools.
• 5+ years of experience managing supply chain teams.
• Proficiency in Oracle, ideally Fusion.
• Strong skills in demand planning, inventory management, data entry, forecasting, material planning, negotiation, and reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience owning the supply planning function, including oversight of inventory levels and collaboration with operations & commercial teams (PSI/SIOP/IBP/etc).
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic planning efforts (3-18 months) with strong presentation skills.
• Ability to make recommendations and influence senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies, including lean conversions.

Work Environment

This role requires onsite presence from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The work environment is collaborative and fast-paced, emphasizing synergy across teams and a commitment to continuous improvement.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Springfield, VA.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Springfield,VA.
