Sr. Financial Analyst, Transportation

Sr. Financial Analyst We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to act as the financial backbone of our North American Transportation Operations. In this role, you won't just be balancing books—you will partner directly with logistics leaders, optimizing freight spend, and using data to shape the future of our supply chain. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position. What you’ll do Financial Management & Month-End: Owns the budgeting and planning process for the Transportation Operations Team. Manages the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Freight & Vendor Operations: Manages the relationship with the third‑party freight payments processor to ensure timely vendor payments. Collaborates across departments to resolve invoicing issues for domestic and international shipments, and maintains freight standards in SAP. Compliance & Audit: Ensures adherence to SOX compliance and Colgate Audit Department (CAD) internal financial controls, including testing and cooperating with external auditors. Reporting & Support: Partners with the Analytics Team to build new financial reports that support network development. Guides the operations team on purchase order (PO) creation and payments, and assists with on‑site inventory counts as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting 4+ years in corporate Finance or Accounting roles Hands‑on experience with SAP/large ERP systems Advanced user knowledge in Excel Preferred Qualifications MBA and/or MAC Prior experience with DOMO, Sigma or BI/BW/Power BI Knowledge of Google Sheets is an advantage Strong communication skills Compensation and Benefits Salary Range $106,400.00 – $155,000.00 USD. Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit‑sharing, and long‑term incentives for Executive‑level roles.
