Job Title Accounting Clerk (AP/AR) Location Clackamas, OR Salary $27.00 to $33.65 per hour Employment Type Temp to Hire (3‑6 months contract then permanent), Fully Onsite, Full Time Job Summary Our client is seeking a full‑time Accounting Clerk for their office in Clackamas, OR. The ideal candidate should have excellent accounting and communication skills, expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing coordination. A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities Initiate and maintain contact with clients to follow up on outstanding invoices and resolve payment issues. Review billing statements and accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts. Negotiate payment arrangements and settlement terms when necessary. Generate collection reports and provide regular updates on accounts receivable status. Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Reconcile vendor statements and maintain vendor files. Provide assistance with vendor inquiries, prepare and process weekly check runs, and support other accounting functions as required. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date accounts payable records, assist with month‑end close and accruals. Qualifications 5+ years of experience with AR/AP and/or just AP required. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to billing and AP is a plus.
