Location: Detroit, MI (Highland Park)
Timeframe: 4-6 weeks
On-site required: Most likely 6 days a week
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site controls engineering , PLC programming , commissioning, troubleshooting, and production support for automotive assembly automation equipment.
- Troubleshoot and support Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation control systems, including CompactLogix , Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000 , FactoryTalk HMI , EtherNet/IP , and DeviceNet networks.
- Diagnose electrical and automation issues involving conveyor systems , part tracking , automated end-of-line testing , VFDs , electrical I/O , sensors, and production equipment.
- Integrate, troubleshoot, and support FANUC robots , robotic automation, and associated manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and validate vision systems , poka-yoke / error-proofing systems , and automated inspection applications.
- Support machine safety systems , including safety PLCs , light curtains , area scanners , interlocks, and related safety devices.
- Perform hands-on production-support troubleshooting , root-cause analysis, and corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Required experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Rockwell controls , including CompactLogix and Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting FactoryTalk HMI applications and industrial communication networks, including EtherNet/IP and DeviceNet.
- Experience with industrial automation , PLC-controlled equipment, electrical controls, VFDs, and electrical I/O troubleshooting.
- Experience integrating or troubleshooting FANUC robotic systems.
- Experience with machine vision, poka-yoke/error-proofing systems, and industrial machine safety devices.
- Automotive assembly automation experience strongly preferred, particularly supporting conveyors, part tracking, automated testing, and production equipment.
- Strong controls troubleshooting , electrical diagnostic, commissioning, and manufacturing production-support skills.
- Ability to work on-site in Highland Park/Detroit, Michigan, most likely six days per week for the 4-6 week assignment.
