We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide temporary coverage for upcoming gaps in call coverage at St. Rita's Medical Center. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, professionalism, and a passion for patient care, ensuring seamless surgical services during scheduled periods. Required Skills:

• Valid medical license in Ohio and board-certified/board-eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Proven experience performing CABG, arterial revascularization, redo coronary revascularization, pericardial window procedures, heart valve repair/replacement, and mitral valve repair
• Ability to perform complex cardiac surgeries independently
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong diagnostic and decision-making abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in trauma or Level 2 trauma centers
• Previous locum or temporary staffing experience
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic health records system
• Ability to adapt to high-pressure environments

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Completion of a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery
• Minimum of 3-5 years post-training experience in a hospital setting

Other Requirements:

• Travel and lodging reimbursed at standard rates (~$150/night lodging)
• Credentialing process estimated at 30 days, with consideration for emergency privileging when necessary
• Availability for 10-14 days of call coverage per month during open dates listed, including overnight shifts and trauma-level procedures
• Must be comfortable working with support staff, including three PAs, in a hospital-based rounding environment
