Senior Accountant, Accounts Receivable

Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid) $32.00-$35.00 per hour Full-Time | Monday-Friday

We're looking for an experienced Senior Accountant, Accounts Receivable to join a collaborative Accounting team. This hybrid position is ideal for an accounting professional with strong accounts receivable, billing, and reconciliation experience who enjoys partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate monthly client invoices based on project deliverables, contract terms, and billing schedules
• Support monthly revenue recognition activities
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and assist with collection efforts
• Resolve billing questions with clients and internal teams
• Review billable expenses for accuracy and policy compliance
• Perform reconciliations of client accounts and assigned balances
• Support month-end close activities, reporting, and journal entries
• Identify opportunities to improve billing, collections, and accounting processes
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reporting
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Project Managers, and other internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of accounting experience with significant accounts receivable, billing, and reconciliation responsibilities
• Experience with client invoicing and accounts receivable aging
• Experience supporting month-end close
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to interpret contract terms and billing requirements
• ERP or accounting system experience preferred
• Experience in a professional services, consulting, or project-based environment is a plus
• Revenue recognition experience is preferred

Compensation & Benefits
