Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Manhattan Day School is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Special Education team for the coming school year 2026-2027. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students with language-based learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a supportive, multidisciplinary educational environment. As a member of our team, you will: Provide individual and small-group speech-language therapy to students enrolled in our Special Education programs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals. Collaborate closely with teachers, occupational therapists, psychologists, social workers, and families to support student success. Participate in staff meetings and contribute to educational planning. Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and therapy records. Support students in developing communication, language, social interaction, and academic readiness skills. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. New York State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (or eligibility for licensure). ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong Clinical Fellowship candidates are encouraged to apply. Minimum 3-5 years experience working with school-aged children. Knowledge of language-based learning disabilities and familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
