Registered Nurse Endoscopy

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Planning: Uses assessment information and critical thinking to develop an individualized plan of care, involving patient, family, team, and physician. Implementation: Directs the care team through delegation, coordination, and collaboration; provides or delegates care consistent with the plan of care, guidelines, and licensure. Evaluation: Evaluates patient response to interventions, reviews achievement of goals, revises the plan as indicated, and reassesses changes. Professionalism: Promotes the nursing profession, participates in the development of others, integrates legal and ethical standards, documents accurately and timely, and operates within scope of licensure. RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a BSN within four years of hire date. Basic Life Support Certification (BLS). Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution. BSN mandatory as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025.
