District Manager, Retail Location: Tampa, FL33601 We are one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management, and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers, and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. Responsibilities Lead sales execution of business objectives within the assigned territory. Manage field teams for in‑store programs, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback. Maximize execution through regular team calls, one‑on‑one coaching, phone, email, and in‑person training. Ensure client execution expectations are met and provide timely reports to impacted associates. Schedule, manage, and execute all client programs and oversee personnel development. Proactively hire, train, schedule, supervise, and maintain in‑store oversight to achieve flawless execution. Represent the company positively in client and community settings and promote client priorities in‑store. Deliver team training content in various formats, from 1:1 to large group presentations. Conduct regular coaching sessions and address support issues with the assigned support team. Use reporting to review sales team results, identify un‑staffed locations, and assess trends. Recruit, interview, hire, and schedule direct reports; conduct employee evaluations and performance reviews. Identify succession candidates to support future business growth. Support additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors or managers. Travel and Driving Requirements Travel and driving are essential; expected up to 60% of the time. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 2–4 years of retail management experience, including hiring, managing part‑time employees, demonstration or marketing, result reporting, inventory, merchandising, and training. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Ability to direct, lead, coach, and develop people. Strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web browsers. Ability to handle multiple duties with accuracy, shifting priorities amid frequent interruptions. Well‑organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working in a fast‑paced environment. Skill in supervising, delegating responsibilities, training, and evaluating performance. Ability to work effectively with management. Environmental & Physical Requirements Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Requires ability to spend >66% of the day engaging in physical activity, lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and occasionally handling refrigerated or freezer sections. Proper safety practices are essential.
