Immediate Need: Clerk/Typist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Clerk/Typist to support daily administrative operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
Schedule (This upcoming week)
- Tuesday–Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
- Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute
- Strong organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional and courteous interaction with staff, tenants, landlords, and external contacts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and general internet use
- Ability to learn and navigate HUD systems, including PIC, EIV, and MCS Visual
- Physical ability to perform property inspections, including climbing stairs
- Ability to travel as needed and operate a motor vehicle in accordance with Housing Authority standards
- Valid driver’s license and insurability required
