Company is helping our client find a Release Coordinator to support the successful release of cartography tools and map data.

In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams to coordinate map releases, ensure data quality, and maintain the integrity of the road network throughout deployment cycles.

The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, and detail-oriented, with strong collaboration skills and the ability to manage releases in a fast-paced environment.



As a Release Coordinator, you'll:

• Partner with release managers to define and deliver weekly map updates, ensuring all changes meet submission deadlines and quality standards.
• Triage and coordinate map-related issues identified during vehicle testing or integration, driving timely resolution with engineering and mapping teams.
• Develop and deploy urgent data patches to resolve critical safety risks or operational blockers outside standard release cycles.
• Collaborate with software engineering, safety, and vehicle testing teams to ensure map data compatibility with the latest autonomous driving systems.
• Create and review reports comparing map versions, clearly communicating changes and potential impacts to stakeholders.
• Perform smoke testing on new software builds and feature updates to ensure stability and prevent workflow disruptions.
• Track, categorize, and manage bugs using tools like Jira, working closely with developers to resolve critical issues prior to deployment.

Ideal candidate profile

• Bonus Qualifications: Strong background in QA methodologies, specifically regarding map data or spatial datasets.
• Proficiency with bug-tracking and release management tools like Jira or GitHub.
• Passion for autonomous vehicle technology and geospatial data

Daily tasks

• Company's Cartography team is responsible for building, curating, and maintaining high-definition road networks. This includes expanding our geofence, validating the accuracy of annotated data, and responding to "world change" events to ensure our maps remain up-to-date.
• As a Release Coordinator on the Cartography team, you will work with cross-functional partners to ensure the successful release of Cartography tools and map data while maintaining the integrity of company's road network throughout the deployment cycles.
• We're seeking someone who is organized, process-driven, and collaborative, with strong attention to detail and the ability to coordinate releases that meet quality and organizational standards in a fast-paced environment.

• Collaborate with release managers to define the content of weekly map updates, ensuring all critical data improvements meet strict submission deadlines.
• Lead triage and coordination for map release related issues identified during vehicle testing or integration, partnering with engineering and mapping teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Drive the rapid resolution of critical, high-priority issues by creating urgent data patches to address safety risks or operational blockers outside of the standard release cycle.
• Partner with software engineering, safety, and vehicle testing teams to ensure map data is fully compatible with the latest autonomous driving software and hardware platforms.
• Create and review detailed reports that visually compare map versions, providing clear summaries of changes and potential impacts to stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough "smoke tests" on new software builds and feature updates before they are launched to the broader team, ensuring that new changes do not introduce stability issues or disrupt existing workflows.
• Identify, document, and track software bugs using tracking tools (like Jira).
• You will categorize issues by severity and collaborate directly with developers to ensure critical blockers are resolved before deployment.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
