We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our team on a W2 contract basis. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into clear functional and system requirements.

The Business Systems Analyst will analyze business processes, evaluate existing systems, gather requirements, and work closely with development, QA, and project teams to deliver scalable and effective technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and system requirements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, architects, QA teams, and project managers.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze existing systems and business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Create process flows, workflow diagrams, use cases, data flows, and functional documentation.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, and analysis sessions.
• Collaborate with development teams to clarify requirements and resolve functional issues.
• Analyze system integrations, APIs, data flows, and dependencies between applications.
• Write SQL queries for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
• Support QA teams with test planning, test scenarios, UAT, and defect resolution.
• Participate in system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
• Analyze production issues and coordinate with technical teams to identify root causes and solutions.
• Support application releases, implementations, and post-production activities.
• Maintain accurate business and technical documentation throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role .
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and functional analysis.
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases .
• Understanding of REST APIs, web services, system integrations, and data flows .
• Experience working with software development and QA teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools .
• Experience with Postman, Swagger, or other API testing tools .
• Knowledge of UML, BPMN, Visio, or Lucidchart.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, or enterprise integrations.
• Experience in financial services, healthcare, insurance, or other enterprise environments.
