The Marketing & Foundation Coordinator is responsible for leading and implementing the hospital's marketing, public relations, communications, community relations, and foundation activities. This position develops and executes annual marketing, communications, and philanthropic development strategies. Supports the organization's strategic goals by enhancing community awareness, promoting healthcare services, coordinating fundraising initiatives, cultivating donor relationships, and managing communication efforts across multiple platforms. The Marketing & Foundation Coordinator serves as a key liaison between the hospital, foundation donors, community organizations, employees, medical staff, and the public. This is a full-time, on-site, 40/hr per week position.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.

• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, public relations, business development or related field preferred.

• Experience with social media marketing, event planning, donor relations, or nonprofit fundraising preferred.

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred.

• Certification in Marketing, Fundraising, Public Relations, or Healthcare Administration preferred.

• Experience in a healthcare setting

Roles and Responsibilities:

Marketing

• Develop, coordinate, implement, measure, and report on marketing and public relations initiatives that support the hospital's mission and strategic objectives and demonstrate return on investment.

• Develop annual marketing and communications plans and budgets, including strategies for key service lines, providers, and strategic initiatives.

• Represent Melham at community events, chambers, civic organizations, and public functions.

• Oversee website strategy, content, analytics, and social media platforms to enhance engagement and organizational visibility.

• Coordinate video and multimedia storytelling initiatives.

• Create and distribute content for social media, press releases, newsletters, advertisements, brochures, and other promotional materials.

• Coordinate advertising through print, radio, digital, and community media outlets.

• Promote hospital services, providers, programs, and special events.

• Maintain the organization-wide marketing and communications calendar.

• Coordinate internal communication efforts to improve employee engagement and awareness.

• Monitor and maintain the hospital's brand standards and public image.

• Maintain strong relationships with local and regional media and may serve as the primary contact for the organization.

• Develop promotional materials for healthcare awareness campaigns and community outreach efforts.

Foundation

• Collaborate with the CEO and Foundation Board to establish foundation priorities, annual fundraising goals, long-term fundraising goals, and philanthropic strategies.

• Partner with the CEO, Foundation Board/Committees, and organizational leaders to build a sustainable culture of philanthropy throughout the organization and community.

• Maintain donor databases, records, and acknowledgement processes.

• Assist with planning, organizing, and executing fundraising campaigns and special events.

• Prepare donor correspondence, thank-you letters, and fundraising communications.

• Assist in identifying and cultivating prospective donors and community partners.

• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors.

• Conduct donor visits and assist leadership with donor cultivation and solicitation strategies.

• Develop major gift, planned giving, sponsorship, and annual giving opportunities.

• Develop compelling donor impact stories and fundraising communications that align philanthropic investments with organizational priorities.

• Coordinate and manage annual giving campaigns and sponsorship opportunities.

• Support grant research and assist with grant applications and reporting activities.

• Prepare reports regarding fundraising activities, donations, and campaign outcomes.

• Maintain donor confidentiality and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
