Director of Product Management, Security Operations

Role Description

We are looking for a Director of Product Management to own and grow the Security Operations product line — building products that enable SOC analysts, incident responders, threat hunters, threat intelligence analysts, and detection engineers to leverage adversary signals, Internet context, and AI-driven intelligence to triage, investigate, hunt, and defend against threats faster than attackers can evolve.

This is a product line with significant strategic importance and real traction. Censys generates a large portion of its revenue from threat hunting, threat intelligence, and other security operations use cases. Your job is to turn that advantage into a sharper, more expansive product line that security operations teams rely on daily.

You will operate at the intersection of threat intelligence, security workflows, and Internet-scale data, translating Censys' unique data assets into products that change how defenders operate. You will help ensure this product line becomes a major growth engine for the company.

What You Own

• Product Strategy & Product-Market Fit
  • Refine and evolve the product vision for how Censys' Internet intelligence transforms security operations.
  • Determine where the current product is closest to fit, where it needs adjustment, and how to sequence investment across segments.
  • Own the feedback loops (customer discovery, design partnerships, POCs, usage analytics, expansion and churn signals, win/loss analysis).
  • Define how Censys applies AI and machine learning to Internet-scale data.
• Revenue Growth & Go-to-Market Partnership
  • Track and present product-driven business metrics (pipeline generation, POC conversion, ARR growth, net retention, expansion within existing accounts).
  • Evolve packaging and pricing models that reflect buyer willingness to pay.
  • Ensure Sales and Marketing can articulate the value of the Security Operations products.
  • Define the integration strategy that makes Censys' intelligence consumable inside existing tools.
• Leveraging the Internet Map
  • Translate security operations use cases into specific data needs.
  • Ensure your products use Internet data in ways competitors cannot replicate.
  • Bring signal back from security operations customers about data gaps and quality issues.
• Cross-Team Alignment & Execution
  • Work closely with Censys' Threat Research team to ensure intelligence reaches customers as a product capability.
  • Partner closely with AI capabilities to find signals and patterns in Censys' data.
  • Stay close to the engineering team, iterating rapidly and prioritizing ruthlessly.
  • Coordinate with peer product leaders on shared dependencies and integration points.
  • Engage regularly with customers through discovery sessions and industry events.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management, with at least 4 years leading product teams in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or security operations products.
• Product leadership across stages, with experience in driving product-market fit.
• Deep security operations domain expertise.
• Technical fluency in security data and AI/ML.
• Experience close to revenue, partnering with Sales on deal strategy.
• Strategic and operational range.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a SOC, threat intel team, or red team.
• Track record of building products that leverage proprietary or differentiated data assets.
• Experience building integrations into major SIEM/SOAR/TIP ecosystems.
• Published research or recognized thought leadership in threat intelligence.
• Experience with AI/ML applied to security data at scale.
