Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantLHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with an established manufacturing organization in the Smithfield, NC area to hire a Senior Accountant. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in the accounting and financial reporting process while partnering closely with operational and finance leadership.The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where they can make a meaningful impact. Please note that this position is fully onsite in Smithfield, NC, five days per week.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and enter journal entries as part of the month-end close processReconcile Balance Sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedulesReview variances and provide explanations as part of the month-end close reviewProvide forecast updates throughout the month for specific expense categoriesExecute internal controls on a monthly and quarterly basisMaintain daily management reporting related to salesGenerate and distribute invoices to customersPost payments and reconcile cashMonitor customer accounts for timely payment and follow up on past-due invoicesImplement effective collection strategies to reduce aged receivablesPrepare working capital reports for management on a weekly basisSupport audit requestsOther duties assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years with an Associate degree.Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.Experience with Oracle, SAP, Infor Syteline, or similar ERP platforms is required.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.This opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional seeking the next step in their career with a stable and growing organization.
