Quality Inspector

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Inspector for a Contract job with a client in Carson, CA . The ideal candidate must have experience performing first article inspections, incoming inspections, and in-process quality inspections within a manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Rate Range: $18.00/hour to $ 19.00/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Quality Inspector job responsibilities include:

• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) on newly designed or revised products to verify compliance with engineering requirements.
• Conduct incoming inspections to ensure materials, components, and products meet specifications and purchase order requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections during manufacturing operations to verify product quality and process conformance.
• Inspect sub-assemblies and finished products used in the construction of aircraft interiors prior to shipment.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and technical documentation.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments and inspection tools to verify dimensional and quality requirements.
• Identify non-conforming materials or products and report findings in accordance with quality procedures.

Desired Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5+ years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing quality, aerospace quality, or related environments.
• Ability to read and interpret:
  
  • Engineering Drawings
  • Technical Specifications
  • Manufacturing Documentation
  • Inspection Criteria
• Experience using precision measuring instruments such as:
  
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Tape Measures
  • Other Inspection Equipment
• Familiarity with quality inspection techniques, procedures, and documentation requirements.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience within aerospace, aviation, aircraft interiors, or manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and quality documentation standards.
• Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, or related quality management systems.
• Experience identifying and resolving quality-related issues in production environments.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $19.00 per hour
