Position Registered Nurse Location Observation Unit Schedule 24 Hours (Nights, Every Other Third Weekend/ Holiday) About the Medical Surgical/Observation Department at BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER The Observation Unit is comprised of 28 bays, which is adjacent to the PACU. This unit provides protocol driven care to a specific population of patients whose length of stay is typically 24 hours or less. The unit often turns over the entire census each day, resulting in a fast paced high-volume environment. Patient types can include (but are not limited to) abdominal pain, R/O MI, acute wound care, and acute respiratory issues. The unit is run by the Hospitalists and Family Medicine and Documentation is tailored to this specific population. Position Summary As an RN in the Medical Surgical, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care. Compensation Range $38.05 - $75.33 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
