Specimen Processor
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor in Overland Park, Kansas for their laboratory operations team. The role involves preparing biological specimens for analysis, managing specimen routing and labeling, and maintaining accurate data entry. Position works overnight shifts Monday-Friday with occasional weekend rotations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens for testing and analysis
- Unpack, route, label, and pack specimens with accuracy and accountability
- Perform timely data entry of patient information into laboratory systems
- Identify and document problem specimens, implementing appropriate resolutions
- Meet department production goals and activity targets
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds regularly
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness screening
