Specimen Processor
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a specimen processor for their Overland Park laboratory to prepare, identify, and route biological samples for testing. The role involves data entry, specimen handling, and shipping to testing facilities on a Monday-Friday evening shift with occasional weekend rotations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to appropriate staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Resolve and document problem specimens according to protocols
- Meet department activity and production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens and biohazard materials
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Pass standardized color blindness test
