RN, Wound & Admission - BSP

Job Description Saint Luke’s Bishop Spencer Place has a fantastic opportunity for a Wound Care/Admission RN to work in our 57‑bed skilled nursing center. Must be a licensed Registered Nurse in Missouri. Wound Care certification is preferred, but not required. We will assist in obtaining wound certification for this position. Schedule 10a-7p or 11a-8p Monday – Friday No weekends Responsibilities Assess wounds and skin alterations, develop care plans, implement orders and treatments, evaluate progress of interventions. Evaluate new and continuing residents for wounds and skin alterations. Provide wound treatments, coordinate with Wound Clinic as needed, and ensure needed wound supplies are available. Support new admission orders and assessments with the nursing team. Notify physician and Nursing Supervisor of wound changes. Implement orders and provide treatments to heal wounds. Identify wound types and provide education to other nursing staff. Document wound status and treatment interventions. Consult with residents, family members, and physicians in planning care, treatment, and rehabilitation. Provide other direct nursing care as necessary. Participate in QAPI activities, including annual survey preparation and CMS standards maintenance. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements 1 year applicable experience. Basic Life Support – American Heart Association or Red Cross. Registered Nurse licensure in Missouri. Associate Degree in nursing (or equivalent).
