Machine Attendant Night Shift 12 hours

As a Quality Assurance Associate at Amcor’s Libertyville, IL plant, you will be responsible for inspecting finished packaging, ensuring production equipment operates safely and efficiently, and maintaining strict adherence to company and industry safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Inspect products and raise any quality issues. Conduct 2‑hour visual checks as required. Monitor injection machines and secondary equipment (conveyors, closing machines, grinders, bowls, carousels, box shifters) to ensure continuous and proper operation. Escalate machine or production issues to Shift Leader and Technical Team. Ensure packages are filled correctly, tape, label, and stack boxes on pallets; use label makers and barcode scanners. Maintain label integrity and apply additional labeling if needed. Remove jammed parts from closing machines. Complete required documentation and follow 5S daily cleaning checklists. Track productivity, quality findings, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Adhere to ISO/BRC standards, Health & Safety requirements, and standard work procedures, and adjust to changes in work tasks or environment. Monitor personal and colleague safety conditions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in manufacturing or injection molding (preferred). Regularly stand and walk; occasional stooping, bending or reaching above shoulders. Require good vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Capable of standing or walking for long periods. Benefits Competitive base salary (starting $16.50/hour, up to $18.50/hour for night shifts).
