Job Duties

The duties include:

• Providing consultative assistance to other military medical treatment facilities on diagnostic site of lesion testing and rehabilitative audiology.
• Diagnosing degrees of communication disorders created by hearing loss and other potentially complicating factors.
• Managing the Hearing Program and the Hearing Readiness Support for the organization.
• Performing patient assessments and evaluations in accordance with clinic standard operating procedures.
• Counseling patients or parents for pediatric patients to provide instruction in the use of hearing aids.
• Using appropriate regulatory guidance to determine eligibility for care as it relates to active duty, retired service members and their families.
