Beverage Manager

The Beverage Manager at The Twenty Two New York is responsible for the strategic design, implementation, and oversight of all culinary and beverage operations across the property. This role provides executive leadership for food and beverage programming, financial performance, operational standards, and team development. The Beverage Manager partners closely with hotel leadership and senior department heads to ensure cohesive operations, consistent brand execution, and an exceptional guest experience across all service environments.

This position is accountable for meeting revenue and cost-control objectives, establishing operational procedures, and cultivating a high-performing leadership team. The Beverage Manager plays a critical role in shaping The Twenty Two’s hospitality culture, ensuring culinary and beverage excellence, and driving long-term business success.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and oversees food and beverage menus in collaboration with culinary and beverage leadership, maintaining detailed documentation of specifications, ingredients, and costs
• Oversees the financial performance of all food and beverage operations, including budgeting, purchasing, inventory control, cost analysis, and sales reporting
• Develops and manages daily, weekly, monthly, and annual budgets and financial reporting tools
• Reviews and approves weekly payroll, ensuring labor targets are met and efficiencies are maintained
• Prepares and delivers regular financial and operational reports to Ownership
• Trains and empowers management teams to understand and manage financial goals, tools, and accountability metrics
• Establishes and maintains operational standards and SOPs across all food and beverage outlets in partnership with General Managers and department leaders
• Collaborates with hotel leadership to implement property-wide food and beverage initiatives, including private events, membership programming, and in-room dining
• Develops and maintains vendor relationships and contract negotiations
• Maintains deep knowledge of all menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and service standards
• Pursues ongoing culinary and beverage education and serves as a subject-matter leader during company meetings and trainings
• Develops guest retention strategies and programming that support brand loyalty and long-term growth
• Ensures compliance with all Department of Health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service regulations
• Promotes and enforces safe work practices, ensuring incidents are properly documented and addressed
• Provides operational and service support as needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience
• Attends all required leadership, operational, and staff meetings
• Adheres to posted schedules and fulfills additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in as a Beverage Manager or comparable senior leadership role within a high-caliber hospitality environment
• Strong working knowledge of culinary operations, wine, cocktails, spirits, and beverage service
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in hospitality, culinary management, or related field preferred
• TIPS or responsible alcohol service certification required
• Proficiency with hospitality technology platforms including POS, payroll, scheduling, inventory, and standard office software
• Ability to work a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to adapt and lead effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Polished professional appearance consistent with The Twenty Two’s standards
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, develop, and retain high-performing teams
• Passion for hospitality, food, beverage, and guest experience
