Director, Commercial Operations Gene Therapy

Catalent

Catalent seeks a Director of Commercial Operations for its gene therapy manufacturing facility in Harmans, Maryland. This leadership role manages client relationships, contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and revenue tracking to support the transition of signed opportunities into commercial production.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary site commercial lead and relationship manager for new and existing clients
Develop pricing strategies, evaluate COGS, and execute value pricing in partnership with business development and finance
Direct contract lifecycle management including CSAs, development agreements, and term sheets
Coordinate across site leadership, supply chain, operations, quality, and project management teams
Oversee revenue forecasting, accounts receivable management, and revenue leakage mitigation

Requirements

5+ years CDMO experience in technical project management, commercial operations, quality, or business development
Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or business discipline
Comprehensive understanding of drug development, GMP manufacturing, quality systems, and regulatory frameworks
Proven expertise in contract negotiation, pricing architecture, and COGS analysis
Ability to work 100% onsite at Harmans, MD facility, Monday-Friday first shift
Strong financial acumen and experience in matrixed organizations
