Manual Machinist (Journeyman)

Job Description We are Repairtech International, Inc., an FAA‑certified repair station that serves commercial and military aviation customers worldwide. We seek a conventional machinist with more than 10 years of hands‑on experience in manual machining of aircraft components. Responsibilities Machining steel and aluminum aircraft parts on manual lathes, mills, and ID/OD grinders. Reading shop routings, travelers, and engineering drawings. Maintaining tight tolerances (±0.0005). Working in a low‑production, prototype environment with a focus on detail. Assisting in cross‑training and mentoring other shop personnel. Required Skills Minimum 5 years of experience on manual machining equipment. Proficient on manual lathes and manual mills. Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T). Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Flexible and eager to learn. Preferred Additional Skills Experience with manual grinding equipment (ID/OD grinders). Location & Schedule Van Nuys, San Fernando Valley, or Northern Los Angeles County. Day Shift: 6am–2:30pm. Compensation Competitive salary, benefits, and retirement package.
