Family Law Paralegal

Job Description

The Family Law Paralegal will support the managing partner on divorce and separation, child custody, and child support matters. This role will manage case materials, coordinate discovery, prepare filings and documents, and provide occasional courtroom and trial support using electronic filing portals, paper files, and shared-drive systems.

Responsibilities

Manage family law case files and related documentation.
Draft legal documents for divorce, separation, custody, and support matters.
Coordinate discovery activities and maintain organized case records.
Prepare and submit court filings through electronic filing portals.
Track case deadlines, hearings, and filing requirements.
Assist with courtroom proceedings and trial preparation.
Prepare case files and exhibits for hearings and trial.
Maintain information across paper and shared-drive systems.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience providing family law paralegal support.

Preferred Qualifications

Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.
Experience with legal document preparation.
Experience using electronic filing systems.
Strong commitment to confidentiality.
Exceptional attention to detail.
