Job Details

• Pay Range: $18.00 – $20.00 / HR (Depending on Experience)
• Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM | Monday – Friday - Saturday as needed
• Training Schedule: Must be available to train on 1st shift (duration determined by client).
• Position Type: Full-Time / Contract-to-Hire
• Location: Houston, TX 77091
• Required PPE: Steel-toed boots and heat-resistant gloves (where applicable)

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced or mechanically inclined  Hot Press Operator to join our production team in Houston, TX 77091. This position involves operating industrial hot press machinery, which utilizes heat and compression to bond, mold, or cure materials. Candidates must be available to train on the 1st shift before moving to their regular 2nd shift hours.

Core Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and safely operate thermal/compression hot press machines according to strict operational procedures.
• Monitor temperature gauges, pressure settings, and cycle times to ensure materials bond or cure correctly.
• Lay out, align, and position materials carefully into the heated press beds.
• Safely remove finished products, clear excess flash or scrap, and verify dimensions using basic measurement tools.
• Maintain a clean work area and perform preventative safety checks on tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting (hot press, laminating, rubber molding, or heat-treating environments preferred).
• Ability to work comfortably around heated machinery while wearing the proper safety equipment.
• Strong physical capability to handle heavy lifting and stand for long stretches of time.
