Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to assess their physical abilities and rehabilitation needs, utilizing evidence-based assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' physical function, mobility, and overall independence.
• Administer various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Regularly monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans based on clinical outcomes and patient feedback.
• Guide and educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and effective strategies for maintaining physical health post-therapy.
• Collaborate with a skilled interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans and provide holistic treatment aimed at optimizing patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and uphold best practices within the physical therapy profession.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on orthopedic patients, particularly those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Our diverse clientele includes individuals of all ages, from young athletes to seniors requiring geriatric care. The role entails addressing various orthopedic conditions, such as post-operative rehabilitation, joint replacements, and sports injuries.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida is mandatory.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required; advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) in the discipline will be highly regarded.
• Proficient communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential for successful interactions with patients and team members.
• A strong commitment to patient care coupled with the ability to exhibit empathy and professional integrity at all times.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility, outpatient clinic, or rehabilitation setting.
• Preferably, prior experience working specifically with geriatric patients or populations with orthopedic conditions.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and telehealth services is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
