Business Development Representative

Role Purpose

At Ideagen, our BDRs are the driving force behind new business growth, turning conversations into opportunities and opportunities into pipeline. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role where you'll engage prospective customers through a blend of inbound lead follow-up and strategic outbound prospecting. You'll uncover business challenges, deliver meaningful discovery conversations, and connect decision-makers with solutions that make a difference. We're looking for ambitious, resilient, and commercially minded individuals who thrive on targets, embrace challenges, and see every conversation as an opportunity. Working closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and the wider commercial team, you'll play a key role in accelerating revenue growth while gaining valuable exposure to the full customer journey.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and outreach. • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients. • Conduct high-level conversations with senior executives to understand their business needs and present Ideagen's solutions. • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for lead generation and sales. • Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system.

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or a customer service role. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives. • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve results. • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
