Job Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment approaches that cater to specific short-term objectives as well as broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
• Deliver tailored, one-on-one speech therapy services focusing on enhancing communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including physical and occupational therapists, healthcare providers, and family members to ensure a unified approach to patient care.
• Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to continue progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions to maintain a seamless continuum of care.
• Document patient progress meticulously according to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying updated on industry advancements through education and collaboration.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
