Instructor - Limited Term - Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University seeks a faculty position atthe rank ofInstructor-Limited Term,to serve as a general anesthesiologist. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track. Responsibilities Clinical Duties - 100% Includes providing anesthesia care to relevant patient population Completion of all anesthesia related charting to include: Attesting to procedures Completing/signing all preoperative and post operative notes in a timely manner Signing and closing all encounters Required Qualifications MD, DO degree or foreign equivalent with Educational Commission for Foreign MedicalGraduates(ECFMG)certificate,current Georgiamedicallicense, board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology. Required faculty employment qualifications for all USG institutions and all academic ranks within these institutions shall be: - Consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)'s requirements for institutional accreditation; - Evidence of ability as a teacher; - Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned; - Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and, - Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations. Shift/Salary/Benefits This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
