Marketing Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

The Marketing Assistant will develop and implement internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the corporate identity and mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Implements marketing initiatives to promote and positively represent the organization through internal and external communication. Assists in the planning and organization of bank-sponsored events and the bank’s involvement in community events. Continually seeks new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, local and global community service, and other topics of interest. Prepares and delivers presentations in the company to share information. Prepares and distributes direct marketing products as directed. Maintains inventory of, and orders supplies as needed. Maintains the bank’s apparel storefront. Represents the company in a variety of settings, always promoting the company in the best possible way. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Superlative communication skills in all forms. Excellent strategic organization skills. Ability to use tact and professionalism including in times of extreme stress. Ability to think creatively. Ability to adapt and respond to difficult questions and issues. Ability to create, implement, and apply within a budget.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in communications. Experience in communications field required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to travel at times. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Must be able to talk and hear. Required to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. The working environment is generally favorable with standard office equipment available. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
