Lead Lab Support Specialist - 1st Shift

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Lead Lab Support Specialist for first-shift operations in Boston. The role involves managing lab support functions including equipment sterilization, gas handling, inventory control, and mentoring support staff while maintaining GMP compliance and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Perform labware cleaning, sterilization, inventory management, and quality control
Handle gas cylinder orders, manage meters, and safely manage HAZMAT materials
Collect, restock, and store labware, dry ice, garments, and gases
Partner with lab personnel to meet material and labware requirements
Maintain inventory records and assist with business metrics tracking

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years material handling or related laboratory experience
GMP environment or laboratory setting experience
Proven team leadership and mentoring capability
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications
Ability to lift 30-40 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally

Compensation: $21.76–$32.26 hourly
