Lead Lab Support Specialist - First Shift

Lead Lab Support Specialist position at Thermo Fisher Scientific in Boston supporting laboratory operations through glasswash, garment management, and gas/dry ice handling. This first-shift role involves managing labware inventory, ensuring GMP compliance, and serving as the primary contact for lab personnel across customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform labware cleaning, inventory management, quality control, and autoclave sterilization
- Manage gas cylinder orders, gas meters, and HAZMAT material handling
- Collect, restock, and safely store labware, dry ice, garments, and gases
- Partner with lab clients to understand and fulfill labware and material needs
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist in supervising business metrics
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years material handling experience
- Experience in GxP environment or laboratory setting
- Proven record of leading and mentoring teams formally or informally
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and safety-first mindset
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
Compensation: $33.20/hr
