Job Summary And Qualifications Job Title: Direct Source Recruiter Supervisor: Director of Travel Division General Summary of Duties: The Recruiter is responsible for delivering high‑quality nurse travel candidates and allied healthcare professionals to HCA and non‑HCA facilities. This includes screening candidates, negotiating compensation packages, presenting their profiles to facilities, and contracting them to work at the various sites. The Recruiter also maintains daily operational activities related to travelers during their assignments. Essential Functions Include but Are Not Limited To Communicates with the Hospital Account Manager and travelers regarding availability, open positions, and assignment changes. Ensures schedule availability of all active travelers is updated and documented in the system to enable quick interviews. Collaborates with other departments (Housing, QA, etc.) to ensure travel employees begin assignments on time. Keeps the Housing Department informed of all assignment changes. Verifies travel staff is compliant prior to placement. Maintains accuracy of traveler information in the Travel Module. Develops a growing pipeline of potential travel candidates using a variety of recruiting sources. Generates and actively recruits referrals from current and former nurses. Maintains consistent contact with travelers on assignment to keep customer service levels high by troubleshooting and problem‑solving when necessary. Ensures continued satisfaction and retention through weekly quality‑control calls and career‑path communication. Communicates with the Director of Travel about any issues that could lead to cancellation of an assignment. Consistently meets or exceeds established goals individually and departmentally. Participates in discussions with other recruiters to suggest sales and recruiting strategies that achieve order‑fill goals. Fully articulates and adheres to each facility’s requirements. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent oral and written communication skills. Able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment; persuasive and upbeat. Manages multiple priorities and tasks effectively. Works well independently and within a team environment. Self‑starter with strong interpersonal, organizational, and follow‑through skills. Communicates effectively with travelers and employees of diverse personalities. Basic computer proficiency: MS Outlook, Excel, and Word. Maintains a working area and equipment in accordance with environmental and safety regulations. Education High School or GED equivalent required. Experience 1–3 years of recruiting experience required, preferably within Healthcare. Certificate / License None. Physical Demands / Working Conditions Exert up to 20 lbs occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently. Requires prolonged sitting and occasional bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye‑hand coordination and manual dexterity for keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires ability to perceive sounds at normal speaking levels and to make discriminations in sound. Requires normal eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate reports. Requires dexterity to type.
