Insurance Services Trainer

Responsibilities Onboard, train, and develop Security Service Insurance agents and licensed branch staff to offer quotes and sell Personal and Commercial lines Insurance products to reach monthly sales goals. Partner with agency management to align training programs with company sales targets and revenue growth goals. Educate agents on using CRM systems, quoting software, and other agency technology. Ensure training aligns with state insurance regulations and company policies. Monitor agent performance, identify skill gaps, and implement strategies to increase sales, including role‑playing exercises for objection handling. Provide one‑on‑one coaching and training to new agents, guiding them through the sales cycle. Conduct in‑person and virtual workshops, webinars, and seminars covering sales techniques, product knowledge, and compliance. Create and update training materials, including presentations and digital content for onboarding hires and upskilling existing agents. Maintain a thorough understanding of insurance ethics and regulations in each licensed state and complete any related duties to drive the organization’s vision. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or equivalent. Proven experience in insurance sales (Personal and Commercial) – 5+ years. Active General and Surplus Lines license required. Insurance sales training experience – 3+ years. Deep knowledge of adult learning techniques. Experience in coaching, training, and developing sales producers to maintain and improve productivity/sales results. In‑depth knowledge of insurance products, sales methodologies, rating procedures, underwriting, industry operations, and regulatory requirements. Experience with Vertafore Agency Management System(s) (AMS360/PL Rater/Agency Zoom). Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain complex issues. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Preferred Qualifications General lines and Surplus Lines license. Industry designation desirable (CPCU, AINS, AIS). Persuasive, focused, and multitasking ability. Ability to perform a large number of steps in a complex system with accuracy and speed.
