Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Gardner, Massachusetts.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: OR - Operating Room\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/12/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 10 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 4x10hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Oct 12, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with a Massachusetts RN license for a 13-week day shift assignment supporting a wide range of surgical specialties.Details\n \n Operating Room unit within a hospital setting\n 4x10 hour day shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM\n On-call required one night per week and weekends based on staffing needs\n No floating or weekend shift requirements outside of on-call rotation\n Uses Omnicell, Meditech Expanse, and SBAR communication systems\n Requirements\n \n Active Massachusetts RN license required\n Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience required\n BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred\n Meditech charting system experience required\n Community Hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred\n Experience across multiple surgical specialties including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, ENT, and Endoscopic procedures\n Skilled in professional OR competencies such as IV starts, specimen handling, cardiac monitoring, and Universal Protocol/Time Out procedures\n Experience with equipment including electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana Table, and Steris systems\n Additional Information\n \n Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical procedures and specialties\n Participate in floating rotations with facility staff in accordance with unit floating policies and appropriate orientation\n Expect to work some holidays during the assignment\n Minimize requests for time off, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment or for full weeks off\n First-time travelers may be considered if they have relevant OR experience\n Candidates within a 30-mile radius are accepted at the same pay rate\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-759811.
