Schedule:
Mon & Fri 8:30a-4:30p
Tues-Thurs 8:30a-5:30p


Pay: $19-$21/hr

Position Summary


We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our client's therapy practice. This position serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from appointment scheduling through ongoing care coordination.


The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills and can effectively manage multiple administrative responsibilities while maintaining strict confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally and courteously
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information
• Verify insurance benefits and eligibility prior to appointments
• Assist with insurance claim follow-up and appeal resolutions
• Maintain and organize patient charts and medical records
• Maintain accurate records within practice management systems
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
• Provide outstanding customer service and support to patients, providers, and team members

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
• Professional demeanor and customer-focused mindset
• Ability to work efficiently in a steady to fast-paced office environment

Preferred Experience

• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a medical office setting preferred
• Experience in a therapy, mental health, physician, specialty clinic, dental, or veterinary office considered valuable
• Experience verifying insurance benefits and eligibility preferred
• Experience handling insurance appeals and denied claims is a significant plus
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred
