Ability to receive guidance and supervision; to follow work rules, safety practices, risk management, and work procedures, meet deadlines, punctuality, and attendance standards, etc.

Ability to adapt to situations requiring the precise attainment of set limits, tolerance, or standards; to be precise, thorough, exacting, or meticulous with work.

Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.

Ability to organize in an efficient and concise manner.

Greet and schedule patients on telephone and in person, take detailed phone messages.

Ensure a positive experience by being helpful and upbeat.

Logs and monitors referrals for appointments from private practitioners and/or outside institutions

Confirm next day's appointments and next week's recalls scheduled 6 month in advance.

Have patient complete paper work and enter all pertinent patient information into practice management software.

Acquire the necessary signatures.

Verify insurance eligibility and frequencies per patient or family.

Scan necessary or assigned documents into patient's chart.

Make sure waiting room is neat and tidy.

Keep reception area clean and dusted.

Ensures clinical forms and documents are in stock; refill as needed.

Compile end of day packet i.e number of walk ins/emergencies

Send out statements and recall postcards on the 1st of the month.

Carry out any specific task asked by the manager quickly and efficiently.

Assist fellow coworkers when called upon.

Assist the manager in maintaining standards, conditions and procedures in clinic in accordance with regulatory standard requirements.

Follow department of Dental Medicine and Hospital Rules and Regulations.

Register patients during periods of short staffing as determined by the clinic manager and/or director

Ensure friendly interaction and communication between patients and coworkers.

Position Requirements Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year job-related experience. Computer knowledge in Microsoft and Excel Required: Fully bilingual in English and Spanish

Desired (not required) criteria include: Strong background in the dental field terminology.

Tuesday-Saturday - 9am-5pm.

Hourly Rate - $24.9752 - $27.4606
