Family NP - Clinical Role | $70/hr | Outpatient | No Nights or Weekends

Job Description

A primary care organization serving DC public housing communities is hiring two part-time FNPs for a pure clinical, fully onsite role. Before applying, one thing to understand clearly: the clinics are renovated apartments inside public housing buildings, not traditional medical offices, and this role is onsite only — 2–3 days per week, no telehealth. Medicaid families spanning all ages who have not had consistent access to a provider who truly knows them. Spanish is preferred. $60–$70/hour, no benefits.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary care across the lifespan at DC public housing clinic sites
\n
• Provide well child care, immunizations, physicals, and preventive screenings
\n
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions with emphasis on chronic disease management
\n
• Manage patients with complex chronic conditions and significant social needs
\n
• Prescribe and manage medications including controlled substances
\n
• Order and interpret onsite labs and point-of-care testing
\n
• Coordinate referrals with specialists, hospitals, and community organizations
\n
• Provide health education and counseling with attention to health literacy
\n
• Document care accurately in the EHR
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Active, unrestricted Washington, DC NP license (or ability to obtain before start)
\n
• FNP certification through ANCC or AANP required (AGPCNP does not meet requirement; panel includes pediatric patients)
\n
• Active DEA registration required
\n
• MSN, DNP, or equivalent advanced nursing degree
\n
• 1–3 years NP clinical experience
\n
• Chronic disease management experience required
\n
• Experience with or clear interest in Medicaid and underserved populations
\n
• Comfortable seeing pediatric patients: well child care, vaccines, physicals
\n
• EHR proficiency required
\n
• Spanish language skills strongly preferred
\n
• Must be fully comfortable practicing in renovated apartment settings inside DC public housing buildings
\n

Schedule & Compensation

\n
• $60–$70/hour
\n
• Part-time | 2–3 days onsite per week
\n
• Monday–Friday | No weekends
\n
