Payments QA Engineer

Job Title: QA Engineer Banking / Payments
Location: Plano, TX
Experience: 8+ years total IT experience, with 4 6 years of hands-on Test Automation
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead test strategy and automation for complex banking/payment applications.
- Build reusable automation frameworks and accelerators.
- Develop and review automation code and mentor QA engineers.
- Manage test data, execution, defect tracking, and test reporting.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability from requirements to test coverage.
- Test payment flows including Cards, ACH, Wires, RTP and FedNow .
- Validate ISO 20022, ISO 8583 and SWIFT payment messages.
- Test reconciliation, chargebacks, refunds, and complete transaction lifecycles.
- Validate system correctness, security, idempotency, and high-volume processing.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, business, and distributed teams.
- Provide quality status, risks, and release-readiness updates to stakeholders.

- PCI-DSS, fraud prevention, data protection and audit awareness
Education: Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent technical training).
