Temporary Clerical Support For Epa Office Of Environmental Cleanup
The purpose of this statement of work (sow) is to detail the clerical support needed by the environmental cleanup office (ecl). The expected period of performance is october 01, 2013 through september 15, 2014 (excluding columbus day, veterans day, thanksgiving, christmas, new years, martin luther king day, presidents day, memorial day, independence day, labor day). Work hours will be 8 hours a day, monday through friday starting not later than 8:30 am. This person shall provide clerical support for the remedial program which includes four other managers and their staff, totaling approximately 40 employees. In addition, certain clerical support (e.g. mail distribution), will be provided for the entire office, approximately 90 people. The contractor shall have an epa security clearance. The following list of tasks details clerical support needed:
- Responds to routine telephone requests by referring callers to appropriate staff and takes messages as necessary.
- Opens and distributes mail to staff and tracks controlled correspondence as needed and directed by epa manager or project officer.
- Reviews outgoing correspondence and materials for grammar, typographical errors, correct format and completeness (e.g., ensure that all attachments are included).
- Schedules appointments for supervisors and makes arrangements for meetings for supervisors and staff as directed.
- Requisitions supplies from epa supply room.
- Assists with preparing (including copying of materials) and mailing bills for correspondence under the freedom of information act (foia), as directed by the epa manager or project officer.
- Files internal and external correspondence as directed.
- Typing includes: correspondence, form letters, reports and/or tables as directed by supervisors and staff.
- Prepares or edits spread sheets as directed.
- Assists with reconciling timekeeping and other administrative records
- Other administrative duties as assigned.
