RN Charge Nurse

Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an RN Charge Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit on a Full-Time basis. Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned ICU critical care unit. The registered nurse maintains accountability for his/her own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to perform essential functions of a Registered Nurse including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluation
• Effectively enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices
• Maintains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices
• Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues
• Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
• Integrates research findings into clinical practice

Position Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
• Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
• Current BLS certification at hire
• Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
• Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
• Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.

Work Shift:

• Full-Time, .9 FTE
• 32 - 40 hours per week
• Scheduled Days: Variable
• Scheduled Shift: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm
• Weekends - Occasional
• Every 3rd Holiday
