We are always looking for individuals that are problem solvers with passion for continuous improvement to join our team. The Shipping and Receiving associates are responsible for verifying and keeping accurate records on incoming, stocking, outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties:Safely, accurately and efficiently loading and unloading of productsVerifies products received from suppliers against the packing listsStores products to the appropriate category shelvesAccurately picking products based on the computer-generated pick ticketsDetermines the best method of packing products to ensure adequate product protection during transitUses the Transportation Management System (TMS) to select the best shipping mode and freight carrier to ensure products are delivered to customers with the shortest lead time and the lowest transportation costUses the ERP system (Epicor-Prelude) to maintain inventory accuracy and data integrityConducts daily cycle counts and investigating the root cause of problemsMakes recommendations to improve processes and work environmentOpportunities to participate and support large projects such as out of town warehouse expansions and physical inventoryPerforms other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School diploma or GEDData entry experienceForklift experience or able to be trained and certified to operate forkliftOutlook email proficiencyPrior warehouse, shipping, and/or distribution experience preferredAbility to:Clearly and effectively communicate using email and telephone shipping related information to customers, vendors, and co-workersOrganize and prioritize work orders to meet shippingAudit work to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipping orders; attention to detailIdentify potential delays and/or address immediate shipping delays and provide an effective and timely resolution and/or contingency plan; problem solvingWork independently with limited supervision; self-starterPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Constantly: Exerting 10 pounds of force to move objectsFrequently: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force, occasionally up to 70 poundsStooping, crouching, reaching, standing, and walkingTalking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuityEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
