Apply now and become a part of our exciting journey!Job SummaryThe Civil/Traffic Project Engineer will independently apply extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. The Engineer will assist a Project Manager to lead design, mentor younger staff, and prepare PS&E deliverables on projects with complex features.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist Project Manager in managing civil/traffic projectsReview completed project documents for conformity and quality assurancePerform administrative duties related to managing a project (invoicing, budget tracking, and schedule tracking)Assist upper-level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisorAssist in preparation of proposalsDevelop scope and fee for projectsQualificationsKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAdvanced knowledge and experience in civil engineering design required to produce PS&E deliverables.Experience on projects including rail grade crossings, roadway signage, roadway striping, utility coordination, traffic signals, detour lans, traffic staging, and/or ADA design are preferred.Experience with CAD and design software including Bently MicroStation and AutoCAD productsAdvanced oral and written communication skillsExperience tracking project budget and scheduleRequired Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program8+ years prior experience neededPreferred Education and ExperienceEngaged in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issuesExperience as a civil discipline lead on projects managing project team and deliverable production.Additional Qualifications, Certifications, etc.Professional Engineer (PE) in home state.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesCoordinate work with staff necessary to complete assignmentsAssist Project Manager in overseeing scopes, budgets, and schedules for projectInternal RelationshipsReceive supervision and guidance from Project ManagerCoordinate project work with technical disciplineExternal RelationshipsInteract with clients and stakeholdersRelationships with industry peers and potential teaming partnersWork EnvironmentThe work is primarily in a professional office environment but may include temporary field assignmentsPhysical DemandsThis is largely a sedentary role; however, some field work may be required.
